Gram and Opa

Elena is getting spoiled with Grandparent attention. Mom and Dad are actually worried about what will happen when the 'visiting' ends.

Gram and Opa arrived on June 8th. We rented bikes right away and spent Friday tooling around Utrecht checking out all the parden (horses). Elena introduced them to Fristi (Opa not impressed with boxed yogurt drink). Saturday we all explored the market together and discovered tasty little tomatoes pickled and filled with feta-lekker! Sunday was an exciting adventure to Hoge Vuelwe National Park. On Monday Elena and Mom showed them around Utrecht and had lunch under the Dom. By Tuesday they were feeling brave enough to head off to Leiden. We were worried when they arrived home at nearly 10:30. They had a good time, but needed Wednesday to recover in Utrecht by visiting the Music Machine Museum (they were impressed!). Today they took off to Amsterdam (Dad planned and this time they arrived home in time for dinner!). Tomorrow we are off to Zeeland for a long weekend on the coast.
