Across the pond

We made our first family trip back to the States last week. Jake and I needed to return to Texas A&M to finalize our contracts (we are still deciding on whether to take the positions), so we left Utrecht on Friday. Gram and Opa picked us up in the little College Station airport (rivaling Twin Falls?) and we spend Mother's Day weekend in Austin hanging out with Seth and Michele (or Aunt Shell as Elena says). Elena was spoiled with a tool set (and hidden M&M's from Uncle Seth) and sidewalk chalk. We had a great dinner and yummy breakfast. Then Dad drove with us to College Station and was Au-pair Opa for Monday and Tuesday. Gram arrived for Wednesday and Thursday. We were very thankful for the help, as the trip was quite stressful. It was easy to know that Elena was in good hands (although Opa was pretty tuckered out from being ordered around!) We will keep you updated on our 'final answer' in the next few weeks.
